FALL 2024 UPDATE

The Spring seemed short, the Summer was certainly hot and our boaters made the best of it. Many of us spent a lot our leisure time on the water with our families, beating the heat and enjoying the true pleasures of boating. CONGRATULATIONS!!!

So much for the near history lesson and on to the realities of the Fall Winterization season. We’re off to a good start on the year, of the over 800 boats we’ll winterize and store this year, 600+ are already on the ground and in process. The boat business as always was full of surprises both good and not so good (as it ALWAYS is), but 2024 sales of new and preowned boats have been pleasantly brisk. Nationwide, boat sales are still a little sluggish, but for us at Owasco Marine the waters are calm and the breeze is at our backs. Softer sales Nationwide means the Manufacturers are pressing to move product so BIG incentives have become the NEW NORMAL. Our inventory has stabilized at a good level, Fall sales are better than expected and boat prices have actually declined with the large incentives being offered. Add this all up, and it makes now a good time to consider that new or preowned boat for the family or fishing next summer. Our indoor heated winter showroom is nearly set up with new Benningtons, Crestliner’s, Four Winns and Wellcrafts, all with Incentive $ and a motivated seller (Me). Regardless of the weather, you can see the new layouts, colors and options in the comfort of our warm and cozy showroom.
