We offer a full range of marine services to keep your boat running, protected, and ready for the season. Our team handles repairs, storage, winter prep, detailing, and ongoing maintenance.
Repairs
In 2015, we constructed a brand new state of the art repair shop complete with the most modern up to date tools and equipment available. But a new shop can’t fix your boat by itself, so we employ a highly qualified, factory trained tech staff. Our staff has been with us for many years gaining experience and knowledge of not only marine repairs, but knowledge of our customers and their individual boats. In many cases, when you bring your boat to us, we already know its history and how you use it. Knowledge is power and we have the power to fix your boat right.
Parts
Our parts department is stocked with over $200,000 of original equipment and aftermarket parts from Yamaha, Mercury, Volvo, and many other brands. Additionally we stock all the oils, filters, fluids, cleaning supplies, props, etc. to assist you with your normal maintenance needs. If you need it, we will probably have it, if not we can get it for you promptly.
Boat Detailing
Owasco Marine offers interior and exterior detailing packages customized to your boat. We handle fiberglass, runabouts, fishing boats, and other small recreational boats. Our detailing helps your boat stay clean, protected, and ready for the season.
Winterization
We offer a full selection of winterization choices ranging from basic block draining and adding antifreeze protectant to complete winterization and spring maintenance packages. 2 stroke outboards, 4 stroke outboards, I/O’s, center drives with closed loop cooling systems, they all require different winter preparation and we know how to handle them all. For the “do it yourself guy” we have all the necessary fluids and parts you will need regardless of make or model of engine. Don’t forget about your freshwater systems, they require “prewinter” attention too.
Boat Storage
Boating in Central New York is of course a seasonal enjoyment (darn it all). The unfortunate fact is that your boat spends more of it’s life in storage than actually being used, so your choice of where to store your “summer love” is a very important decision. For storage we offer shrink wrapping to go, shrink wrapping with outdoor storage, indoor cold storage in our brand new storage facilities or indoor climate controlled storage for those boats requiring a little additional attention.
